Tapas on Laurel Street

Gastronomy

Traditional Riojan cuisine is primarily based on a wide variety of high-quality products, as diverse as its climate and terrain. The differences between the mountainous areas and the banks of the Ebro River yield distinct natural products that, when combined, result in a richer and more varied cuisine.

Throughout the entire region of La Rioja, there are countless restaurants. From homemade food to creations by renowned chefs, we offer a diverse range to satisfy all tastes, occasions, and budgets.

Just a few steps from the hotel is the well-known Calle Laurel, famous for its wines and tapas, where you can enjoy the entire Riojan gastronomy in the form of pinchos, accompanied by magnificent wines.

Route along the Way of St. James

Pilgrims' passage

From Viana, following the well-marked route, you reach the border between La Rioja and Navarra.

After crossing a network of roads, the path leads through cereal fields and, after a slight descent, you arrive at the banks of the Ebro River. Continuing upstream, you reach the famous Puente de Piedra (Stone Bridge), the first major river crossing encountered by pilgrims on this route.

You are now in Logroño, the second major city on the French Way. To reach the hotel, simply follow Calle Ruavieja to the Plaza del Parlamento, and from there, follow the signs to Hotel Condes de Haro.

We offer pilgrims a well-deserved rest, a luggage storage service for backpacks, and a secure place to store bicycles for those traveling on two wheels.

We can provide you with contact details for the main luggage transport companies, nearby laundries for your clothing, and any other information you might need.

We also have special long-term rates for our garage.

If you’re an early riser, check with us about the availability of an early breakfast.
